MARIEVIC is a French artist based in New York City whose work is a visual landscape that involves sculpture, photography, and video.
Her practice aims to investigate how the self is performed in different contexts, at the same time individually, globally, and politically. MARIEVIC explores the fetishized cultures of consumption by giving a careful look to changing conceptions of luxury and disposability.
Her work has been exhibited at Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Eyebeam (New York), Fisher Parrish Gallery (New York), MOCA (Toronto), MuCEM (Marseille), Stems Gallery (Bruxelles), Red Bull Arts (New York), Magda Danysz Gallery (Paris), Eigen+Art (Berlin & Leipzig). Her work has been featured in Nowness, Visionaire, i-D, Vogue, Wallpaper, and Vice.
